“Presidential Grave Hunter: One Kid’s Quest to Visit the Tombs of Every President and Vice President” is a history-driven travel memoir that details author Kurt Deion’s childhood mission to meet his country’s leaders in an atypical manner. With his zany, boundary-pushing father at the wheel, the straight-laced youngster found himself sneaking a camera past Secret Service agents, purposely locked in a cemetery enclosed with barbed wire, and handcuffed to the former Dallas homicide detective who was tethered to alleged JFK assassin Lee Harvey Oswald when he was shot by Jack Ruby. Come join us on Thursday, August 3rd, at 6:00 pm for History Happy Hour to hear more details about Kurt Deion’s book and his hands-on history encounters with living and deceased chief executives and VPs!

History Happy Hour is a biweekly virtual program hosted by the White House Historical Association. Join us as experts weigh in on a variety of historical topics, share their insights, answer audience questions, and enjoy presidential-inspired libations.
